Hello all! This is a long email, but each point is important to make our Quilt Show a success.
** We have GREAT NEWS about our upcoming Quilt Show – Uniquely Yours has graciously donated a brand new, still in the box Husqvarna Opal 650 sewing machine with a retail value of $1,000 for us to raffle at the Show!! Tickets will be $5.00 each and available at the show only. The winner will be drawn at 3:00 Sunday, right before the quilt drawing. You can get details about the machine at the next Guild meeting, September 7. Thanks to Kathy and Meghan for your generosity!!
** Pre-sale tickets for the show will be available at the September meeting at a discounted price of $4.00 each. Tickets at the door are $5.00. If you wish to purchase tickets for friends or family, this is the time to do it. See Lee or Allison at the front table.
** If you have quilt raffle tickets you have not sold please, PLEASE bring them to the September meeting. We are at the point where we’re not sure if we need to order additional raffle tickets from the printer, so please help us out by returning any unsold tickets. Also, bring any money and ticket stubs you have collected by selling tickets to Lee or Allison.
** Don’t forget to submit your entry forms for quilts you want entered into the Show. The form is available online, or print copies will be available at the meeting. They need to be turned in as soon as possible, or at the September meeting. If you have questions you can contact Melinda, Ina or Sara. The sooner we know what quilts will be in the Show, the easier it will be to plan the hanging arrangement.
** Boutique needs your donated, sewn items by the September meeting. Tina, Marilyn and Harriet are working hard to make the Boutique the best yet. They can’t do it without your help!
** Cindy has received several very nice items for the Silent Auction, but would love to receive more. If you are finishing up a project for her, please bring it in September.
** Vintage Market is still gladly accepting fat quarters, quilt books, patterns & magazines, and rulers. Bring your goodies to Cheri, Susan or Melinda at the September meeting.
** Hallye Bone, a certified quilt appraiser, will be doing quilt appraisals at the Show. If this is a service you wish to purchase, don’t forget to sign up for a time slot. The appointment list will be available at the front desk at the September meeting.
Whew! It’s a lot of information, but oh so necessary for a successful quilt show. See you all on September 7 at the Guild meeting!!
